Woodbridge Riverside Play Space - Woodbridge

Updated: Nov 16

This unique all ages and abilities play space features play and social opportunities for wheelchair users and visitors with other physical or intellectual impairments. There are tactile pathways and "how to sign" communication visuals to foster play interactions.

Play zones feature sand and water play,

a boat themed play area

a carousel and spinners

a sway fun boat

a double cable way flying fox with accessible and pommel seats

a rope swing and swings.

twin slides with a soft fall hill to climb,

lookouts, tunnels and nature play,

a large climbing frame on a sand base,

and for your budding palaeontologist there is a dinosaur dig.

The play space includes large areas of lawn for picnics or ballgames. The Guerilla Hub Cafe can be accessed from both within the play space or from the outside if you are using the riverside facilities or walking the John George Trail. There are shaded picnic benches alongside other casual seating arrangements. There are full disabled toilet facilities inside the Play Space.

The playground is fully fenced with double entry gates with high safety latches. There are plenty of mature trees for shade and some areas also have shade sails.

The Play Space is located on the banks of the Swan River. You can leave the fenced play area and wander down to the picnic bench and small beach immediately outside or you could take the kids bikes or scooters and venture along the John George Walk Trail to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the river.

I love wandering along trails, both marked and unmarked, and sharing my discoveries with my Out and About FNC community.  If you enjoy reading my blogs please consider a small donation which will be used towards the costs of keeping the website up to date and relevant.

In the spirit of reconciliation Out and About- Family Nature Connection acknowledges the traditional owners of the Wadjak boodjar (Perth land) and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
