Mindarie Marina and surrounds showcases some unique signature artworks and these can be explored on a short loop trail taking in the Marina and Claytons Beach.
Starting from the main carpark on Ocean Falls Boulevard head down the staircase to the right passing The Marina Hotel and the Life Boat (seasonal venue). Continue along the boardwalk adjacent to Boston Quays, enjoying views across the marina to Rosslare Park, the starting point for our Coastal Walk - North Mindarie to Quinns Beach. Continue up the stairs at Montrose Walkway making sure you turn around at the public art to enjoy the fabulous view across the Marina. You can also walk from here to Rosslare Park - it is a 10 minute walk and you can choose the main roads or amble through the suburban streets.
From here veer right along Toulon Circle and then right at Anchorage Drive passing more signature artworks at Swansea Promenade. Follow Anchorage Drive crossing over to have a look at the pretty waterfall and duck pond in Bayport Park.

You can continue along Anchorage Drive to see the public art at the corner of Glensanda Way. If you wish you can explore the bush trails here through the South Mindarie Foreshore Reserve. If you continue along Long Beach Promenade you will meet the dual use path that extends to Burns Beach. We have yet to explore this 6km path (one way). Otherwise follow Glensanda Way back to Alexandria View. If you prefer you can turn off earlier at Alexandria View for a more direct loop.

Continue along Alexandria Loop to look out over Claytons Beach. There is another access point here for the South Mindarie Trail which will take you through the dunes emerging onto the beach a short distance away. You can then return along the beach and climb the stairs back to the carpark. Continue past the beach access point for views down the coast.
We chose to follow Alexandria View alongside the Mindarie Breakwater but if you prefer you can cut through Salford Promenade to the marina.
There used to be an artwork at the end of Alexandria View but it has been removed. It is still nice to walk down the steps onto the boardwalk which is a great fishing spot for kids - you can see the fish swimming under the boardwalk!
At the end of the boardwalk a paved path takes you alongside the boat pens, passing the Salford Promenade public art. The views across to the Mindarie Breakwater and up the coast are spectacular! If you look closely at the rocks alongside the path you might see some crabs. We spotted one but it must have been camera shy as it disappeared back into his hole.
This leads you back to the boat launching area and from there into the Mindarie Marina complex with it's various food outlets and retail spaces. A great way to finish your short walk.
The walk is about 2km in length depending on the route you take and will take around 40 minutes at a good pace.
