This beautiful little park is a hidden gem right in the middle of Joondalup. Entry by car is off Grand Boulevard, opposite Collier Pass, into a small car park or you can easily access this park on foot from Lakeside Drive.
There are a few trails that loop around including the boardwalk across the small lake in front of the TAFE. Paths are paved and ideal for kids on bikes and scooters. Some pass through bush while others border the parkland.
Kids can explore the rocks and animal sculptures along the stream or have boat or stick races. Large grassy areas invite you to throw down a picnic rug and spend some time taking in the peace and tranquility.
At the top of the park is a green open space with the War Memorial which is worth a look.
Toilets, featuring artwork by Jack Bromell of local birdlife, are located in the small carpark off Grand Boulevard (free on weekends but fees apply weekdays). Dogs are not permitted in the park. Sometimes if you arrive early you may come across some people who have slept rough in the park overnight.
We explored Central Park as part of our Joondalup Adventure which includes the Jack Bromell Art Trail.
I love wandering along trails, both marked and unmarked, and sharing my discoveries with my Out and About FNC community. If you enjoy reading my blogs please consider a small donation which will be used towards the costs of keeping the website up to date and relevant.

In the spirit of reconciliation Out and About- Family Nature Connection acknowledges the traditional owners of the Wadjak Boodjar (Perth land) and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
