Aveley Central Park and Vale Adventure Playground

Updated: Nov 9

Also in the Ellenbrook area, Central Park in Aveley has a pretty walk winding around two small lakes with a bridge crossing through the middle section, which is where the nature playground is located.

The path around the northern lake is mostly shaded whereas the southern lake is more open. Walking around both lakes takes about 20 - 30 minutes.

The playground has a flying fox, bird's nest swing, wood maze, tunnel and roller slides, musical play features, spiderweb climbing frame and natural elements including climbing logs and sculpted animals. Dig around in the sandpit and you may even find a fossil!

Painted elements on the paths run through the nature play area leading kids to the water play feature with wooden troughs spilling into a rocky creek. Nearby is a small shaded area more suitable for the little ones as well as picnic tables and barbecues.

The playground is not fenced and is close to both the road and the water. There are no toilets within the park but there is a small shopping centre across Flecker Promenade to the south of the lakes. Limited parking is available on the street around the park and surrounds or at the shopping centre.

If you want to take your fur baby along Aveley Dog Park, on the northern perimeter, has fenced areas for large and small dogs.

If you fancy another play Aviary Creek Playground is just up the road along Egerton Drive.

I love wandering along trails, both marked and unmarked, and sharing my discoveries with my Out and About FNC community.  If you enjoy reading my blogs please consider a small donation which will be used towards the costs of keeping the website up to date and relevant.

In the spirit of reconciliation Out and About- Family Nature Connection acknowledges the traditional owners of the Wadjak boodjar (Perth land) and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
