This large nature based play space is located on Wordsworth Avenue at the edge of Yokine Reserve. The play space is completely enclosed with double gated entry/exit points.
Set under mature trees much of the play space is shaded. Paths wander through landscaped gardens adding to the appeal and separating the various play areas.
The play space features a wooden log balance course, carved wooden animal statues, spinning poles, double see-saws, two spinning roundabouts - one with a climbing net attached, water and sand play, hammocks, different swings including a bird's nest swing and a basket swing, musical play and a fort with a rock climbing wall and climbing nets.
There is a shaded picnic shelter with barbecue and several other picnic tables and benches throughout the play space. More barbecues and picnic benches are available immediately outside the play space. Toilets are located just outside the gates.
There is a large car park however if sporting events are held at the Reserve parking may be tricky.
Outside the Play Space Yokine Reserve offers plenty of grassy areas to settle down for a picnic and the kids can use the wider spaces for ball games or kite flying or to climb some of the mature trees. Paved paths wind their way around the reserve making it ideal for scooters and bikes.
